  10. 1.  Xerox TextBridge Pro96
  11.  
  12. dtSearch 4.1 adds support for Xerox's TextBridge Pro96 OCR
  13. software (both the 32-bit and 16-bit versions).  Please
  14. contact DT Software (see numbers below) if you wish to order
  15. this product.

  17. 2.  HTML support
  18.  
  19. dtSearch 4.1 can index, search, and display HTML documents
  20. with "live" hypertext links.  Click "Launch" in an HTML
  21. document to view the document in your Web browser.

  23. 3.  Thesaurus
  24.  
  25. Choose "Thesaurus..." in the Options menu to create a
  26. thesaurus to use in searching.  Each entry in the thesaurus
  27. consists of a set of words that are all considered synonyms of
  28. each other.  Synonym expansion works in combination with
  29. stemming so that, if "search" is a synonym for "find," then
  30. "searching," "searched," etc.  will also be synonyms for
  31. "find."

  33. To enable synonym expansion for a single search term, put an
  34. ampersand (&) after the word in your search request, like
  35. this: "find& and fast"
  36.  
  37. To enable synonym expansion for all search terms, check the
  38. "Synonyms" checkbox in the Search dialog box.

  40. 4.  Database indexing
  41.  
  42. The 32-bit version of dtSearch supports indexing of Microsoft
  43. Access (*.MDB), Paradox (*.DB), dBase (*.DBF), or FoxPro
  44. (*.DBF) files if you have 32-bit ODBC drivers for these file
  45. formats.  Users of Microsoft Office 95 will have these
  46. drivers.  Other users can obtain them either from Microsoft or
  47. from DT Software.

  49. 5.  Italics, underlining, and bold
  50.  
  51. dtSearch 4.1 will display italics, underlining, and bold font
  52. attributes when displaying documents in the following formats:
  53. HTML, WordPerfect 7, WordPerfect 6.x, WordPerfect 5.x, and
  54. Microsoft Rich Text Format.  These attributes are also saved
  55. in text copied to the clipboard.
